Social Media Project Example – Behind the Scenes of Modelling

The hallmark of a good social media project (and good communication in general) is getting people interested in a topic they might not otherwise care much about. So it’s to Shonika Greenidge’s credit that her blog on her developing career as a model ended up being one of the most interesting and well-presented of her semester.

Her project’s success lies mainly in her use of a candid, personal perspective while recounting her experiences in the industry. Not surprisingly, her posts struck a chord with a few aspiring models who contacted her for further information on how to navigate the often tumultuous modelling scene. She even attracted the attention of a few potential employers.

Shonika also made great use of video posts (vlogs) that she recorded at opportune times before, during and after her gigs. We weren’t too crazy about her vlogging while driving, though…
